A self-fertile climbing fruit shrub, Actinidia deliciosa Jenny bears fruit without pollinators, producing excellent medium-sized kiwis. When planted along a wall, it adds a nice touch of greenery to a facade, while its fragrant flowers attract foragers in spring. This variety is particularly resistant to disease.

The Kiwi Fruit Self-fertile Jenny is native to Asia and can withstand temperatures of -15 to -18°C. When fully grown, it can reach 6 to 10 metres in height and 4 to 6 metres in width. Its decorative foliage, deciduous in winter, is accompanied in May and June by creamy white flowers that attract bees. Actinidia deliciosa Jenny produces numerous oval, brown, hairy fruits, 5 cm in diameter and weighing 50 grams. These kiwis are sweet, fragrant and juicy and can be eaten fresh or in salads. They are harvested from October to November.

The Kiwi Fruit Self-fertile Jenny likes sunny exposures and is at home in all types of soil, provided they are well drained. Very decorative, it can be placed on a trellis, a pergola or against a wall. Every year, at the beginning of March, the branches that have borne fruit should be pruned back to two eyes.
