The Ficus carica Col de Dame Blanche or Fig tree Col de Dame Blanche is a very old variety, uniferous and late. Indeed, its fruits mature from the end of September to the end of October, or even November, they are resistant to bad weather thanks to their thick skin. Due to the late maturity of its figs, the Fig tree Col de Dame Blanche is intended for climates in Mediterranean areas, in the northern areas the fruits would not resist the cold of autumn.

The Ficus carica Col de Dame Blanche produces from the beginning of autumn to the first frost, large elongated fruits of about 60 gr with a thick golden to yellowish green color. Their flesh offers a beautiful, very sweet red color. From starter to dessert, this fruit with exceptional taste qualities sublimates all culinary preparations.

The Fig tree Col de Dame Blanche withstands the cold down to - 15 ° C but leaves the strain if the negative temperatures reach - 20 ° C. Of medium growth, it reaches a height of 3.5 to 5 m for a spread of 5 to 6 m. Its flowering period is from May to June.

The Fig tree Col de Dame Blanche is grown sheltered from the north wind with a very sunny exposure, in a neutral to limestone, stony and draining soil.
