Philadelphus Lemoinei Manteau d'Hermine, a delicate and generous flowering.

The Philadelphus Lemoinei Manteau d'Hermine or Manteau d'Hermine Mock Orange is a deciduous shrub with a compact and bushy habit, remarkable for the grace of its strongly arched branches like a parasol as well as for the abundance and charm of its creamy white spring flowering , so subtly scented. Reaching a maximum of 1 m in height for as much width, it is ideal for small gardens.

In May-June, the supple branches of the Philadelphus Lemoinei Manteau d'Hermine crumble under a profusion of double flowers 4 cm in diameter, gathered in small bouquets of 3, exhaling a delicate fragrance. The pale green leaves are quite small (2.5 cm).

Easy to live and resistant (it tolerates temperatures down to -30 ° C), Manteau d'Hermine Mock Orange adapts to all soils, even limestone, provided they are fresh, fertile and well-drained. A sunny situation is preferable to optimize flowering, but partial shade is also suitable. After flowering, you will remove the old branches and shorten the twigs that have bloomed.

The Philadelphus Lemoinei Manteau d'Hermine can be used alone, in beds or in hedges. Pair it for example with flowering shrubs such as Weigelias and Abelias. It is also interesting to plant in a pot or in a container on your terrace, so you will enjoy its generous flowering and its fragrance reminiscent of orange blossom.
