The Rhododendron Goldkrone is the charming asset of the garden in spring: its superb campanulate flowers, with very rounded petals, bring a cheerful light yellow note to the beds.

The Rhododendron Goldkrone flowers at the beginning of May. The bell-shaped flowers are arranged in clusters of 16 to 18 and have a lovely pale lemon-yellow colour that contrasts nicely with their red macula. It is an evergreen with oval, shiny, dark green leaves that cover it all year round. Hardy and robust, Rhododendron Goldkrone can withstand cold temperatures of up to -21°C. When fully grown, this compact plant is barely 1.20 metres high and 1.20 metres wide.

The Rhododendron Goldkrone is equally at home in the sun, shade or semi-shade and is equally at home in a container on a terrace or balcony or in the open ground. In the garden, it can be planted as an isolated specimen or as a hedge, in a border or in a bed, in association with other plants that like it appreciate cool, humusy and acidic soil. To encourage the Rhododendron Goldkrone to flourish, simply top-dress it annually with a little heather earth soil.
