The Virginia creeper Engelmannii is native to North America, its leaves are composed of three to five leaflets, 5 to 14 cm long.
The Engelmannii variety is less invasive and has foliage with thinner and narrower leaflets than the type, they take a pretty orange-yellow then scarlet-red hue in the fall.
The Parthenocissus Quinquefolia Engelmannii clings alone to its support, it has tendrils terminated by crampons.
