Particularly decorative, the Miscanthus sinensis Zebrinus brings a graphic touch to the garden: its very original dark green foliage is crossed with horizontal yellow streaks over its entire height. In the heart of summer, beautiful feathery ears enhance its unusual charm, with exotic accents.

In adulthood, the Zebra grass measures 1.80 m high and 0.60 m wide. It blooms from August to October, in silky ears of beige then silver. Very hardy, Miscanthus sinensis Zebrinus is resistant down to -20 ° C. Its variegated foliage, with an upright habit, is deciduous. At the end of the season, you can use its canes to make compost, or even use them to mulch other plants.

The Zebra grass likes cool, sunny, rich and well-drained soils, and is not afraid of the wind. Particularly robust and easy to cultivate, this plant only needs a good cutting at the end of winter. Ideal in flower beds, the Zebra grass is a wonderful accompaniment to perennials or other original grasses such as the vibrant Japanese blood grass.
