Description
The Malus zumi Golden Hornet or Crab apple Golden Hornet blooms in spring, usually in April-May. Its melliferous flowers, dark pink in bud, are first of a delicate pale pink and whiten after total hatching. Very decorative, they are grouped in small bouquets. They are followed by bright yellow round fruits of 2.5 to 3 cm, carried by long stems. They persist on the tree until the heart of winter.
