Description
The Mandarin orange Keraji is highly sought after for its great resistance to cold, it is able to withstand negative temperatures down to -12C °, this variety is derived from a hybridization obtained and cultivated in Japan since 1947.
The Mandarin orange Keraji forms a small shrub with a compact habit of up to two meters in height, unlike other citrus fruits it has no thorns, its dark green foliage is shiny and decorative, the self-fertile white bloom occurs in April to make way for good-sized fruit with a sweet and sour taste.
This Citrus is to be grown in pots in the coldest regions or, why not, try a crop in the ground in a sheltered cold winds with a small winter protection from late December to March.
