Description
The Mandarin orange Keraji is highly sought after for its great resistance to cold, it is able to withstand negative temperatures down to -12C °, this variety is derived from a hybridization obtained and cultivated in Japan since 1947.
The Mandarin orange Keraji forms a small shrub with a compact habit of up to two meters in height, unlike other citrus fruits it has no thorns, its dark green foliage is shiny and decorative, the autofertile white bloom occurs in April to make way for good-sized fruit with a sweet and sour taste.
This Citrus is to be grown in pots in the coldest regions or, why not, try a crop in the ground in a sheltered cold winds with a small winter protection from late December to March.
