This orchid is native to Japan, or sometimes it is also called 'Blue Hyacinth Orchid'. Like all other Bletilla striata, it is cold-resistant to -20 °C and easy to grow.
Its flowering appears according to the regions in early summer on flower stalks. The particularity of this variety is of course the colour of its lavender blue flowers, which is very appreciated by collectors. After a few years, the natural multiplication of its bulbs will form a bed of dozens of rare and intriguing plants.
