Nerium oleander Cavalaire is a shrub with deep pink double flowers, with slightly wavy petals in flared cups. Although it is native to the Mediterranean basin, it is now growing in many parts of the world.
Nerium oleander Cavalaire is a remarkable shrub that can reach a height ranging from 3 to 4 meters and spreads over 2 meters wide. It flowers from June to October, offering a beautiful spectacle with its double pink flowers with slightly wavy petals in flared cups, they contrast remarkably with the evergreen, dark green and leathery foliage.
The Oleander Cavalaire is very resistant to cold and can withstand temperatures ranging from -12 to -15°C. This shrub is also very easy to care for, as it is well adapted to drought and disease resistant. It can also adapt to a wide variety of soils. However, it prefers slightly acidic, well-drained soil and prefers to be planted in a sunny area, in pots on the terrace or balcony, but also in hedge formation, together with other oleanders. Water it regularly until it is well established, but after that it only needs watering during very dry spells.
Nerium oleander Cavalaire is a low-maintenance shrub. It only needs pruning every two to three years to maintain a harmonious fit and rejuvenate the silhouette.
