Origins and characteristics
Native to the Mediterranean basin and Asia, Nerium oleander belongs to the Apocynaceae family. The ‘Virginie’ cultivar is prized for its large delicate flowers and abundant summer bloom.
Description and particularities
Adult height : 2 to 3 metres
Adult spread : 1.50 to 2 metres
Habit : Bushy, dense and slightly flared
Foliage : Evergreen; elongated, leathery, glossy dark green leaves

Flowers : Large 5–6 cm blooms, pastel pink with a vivid pink striped throat

Hardiness : Moderate, down to –8 °C; protection required in cold climates
