Description
The Yellow Variegated Tulip Tree is a majestic ornamental tree known for its variegated foliage, distinctive tulip-shaped flowers, and elegant upright form. It reaches up to 15 metres tall with a spread of 7 metres, forming a regular, oval-shaped crown. Its vertical growth and luminous foliage make it a standout feature in parks, large gardens, or landscape avenues.
Leaves are bright green with creamy yellow margins, creating a striking contrast and a glowing effect throughout the growing season. The typical truncated tulip shape adds architectural interest. In autumn, the foliage turns golden yellow to vibrant orange, offering a spectacular seasonal display.
From May to July, the tree produces cup-shaped flowers measuring 5 to 6 cm, in shades of greenish-yellow marbled with orange. Lightly fragrant, they resemble tulips and attract bees and pollinators. Though partially hidden among the leaves, the flowers add a subtle elegance to the canopy.
