The Cotinus Coggygria Royal Purple is a bushy shrub and very hardy (-20 °C) it owes its name to Purple Smoketree its unique appearance during its bloom in July and August; it is then adorned with small flowers turning into feathery and vaporous bouquets with the appearance of wigs. And this against a background of dark purple foliage turning bright red in autumn.
The very decorative character of the Cotinus Coggygria Royal Purple makes it a very popular subject for the realization of free hedges or for a plantation in shrubbery, even isolated.
