Magnolia stellata Rosea or Pink Star Magnolia is a magnificent shrub, very floriferous from an early age, whose pretty dark pink flower buds bloom in early spring and metamorphose into pale pink flowers with long petals forming delicate stars.

Of compact habit, its slow growth gives it a place of choice in a small garden. After 10 years, it can reach 3 m in height and 2 to 3 m in spreading. Highly resistant to cold (down to -25 ° C), it will thrive in a partially shaded and slightly sunny place.

This hardy and compact variety of magnolias, with green foliage, turning golden in autumn, requires little maintenance. The Magnolia stellata Rosea likes acidic and humid soils: give it heather soil, it will be grateful to you, it will flourish there from the first days of spring. For a dazzling garden, pair Pink Star Magnolia with other early-flowering shrubs like a Pink Lady Japanese quince or White Forsythia.

In a large pot on your terrace, in the ground in isolation or in a spring massif, the starry spectacle of its elegant pink flowers will amaze you. Easy to grow, it is suitable for everyone.
