Description
The Viburnum Bodnantense Dawn is a deciduous shrub that has the particularity of blooming in the heart of winter from January to February on its branches still devoid of leaves, these are small pink and white bouquets with a powerful and suave perfume, often the snow is present during this period, what makes a stunning contrast to the garden with this beautiful shrub blooms when it is very cold and all the other plants are deeply asleep.
In the spring, budding of the young leaves is first copper-colored, green throughout the summer season, then red-orange in autumn.
The Pink Viburnum can reach 2 to 3 meters in height with an upright port, this shrub is easily grown in any kind of cool soil, it likes sunny or half-shaded situations.
Pruning is well tolerated by Viburnum Bodnantense Charles Lamont but prefer spring if you have to do this work because the flowers appear on the wood of the previous year.
