Robinia hispida macrophylla, also called Rosa acacia, is an upright shrub native to North America. It is very popular with connoisseurs for the longevity of its imposing flowers. The proposed plant is a grafted shrub.

The flowering in hanging clusters easily reaches 15 centimeters long, they are covered with very large pink flowers in May-June and persist for 4 weeks in a row. Rosa acacia is drought tolerant very well, which allows it to easily withstand periods of hot weather.

Robinia hispida macrophylla reaches a maximum height of 1.50 to 2 m in adulthood over 2 m of spreading, which makes it a small decorative shrub. Its reddish-brown twigs are covered with small red hairs and its sparse foliage is green with gray tints, deciduous and not thorny.

Robinia hispida macrophylla has a deep root system, in pots, it will need repotting in a larger pot over the years to make room for the roots to establish well. Rosa acacia is very resistant to cold, down to -29 ° C in winter, it will require a sunny exposure, sheltered from the wind. It easily benefits from all types of soil, in poor substrate as in alkaline soil.

This refined shrub is the beauty of gardens and balconies, it does not lack character and promises easy maintenance for a stunning result.
