Description
Rhododendron Cunningham's White is an old variety, originally from Scotland, adapted to harsh climates and difficult terrain. Its main asset is its wonderful flowering in May-June, which offers generous bunches of white flowers with a light yellow-green macula, these inflorescences have pointed petals with wavy edges. This compact, regular shrub has glossy, deep green evergreen foliage and pinkish flower buds, which develop into a multitude of flower clusters.
The Rhododendron Cunningham's White is very hardy and resistant. It adapts easily to all environments and is not very demanding in terms of soil type: it likes a substrate of heather soil, which needs to be resurfaced annually. When fully grown, it measures 1.50 metres in height and width: it is very easy to grow in the ground or in a container.
The Rhododendron Cunningham's White requires little maintenance: regular watering is recommended, especially in hot or dry periods. Mulching the base is recommended to contribute to its autonomy: it prefers moist but not soggy soil. It does not require any particular pruning, simply remove the leaves and faded flowers as they fall.
