Black Dragon Black Bamboo is a non-spreading alternative to Phylostachys Nigra Bamboo with canes reaching 2-3m in height, first green when young, turning shiny black as they grow. Although its rhizome system is cespitose (non-spreading) it has the particularity of having an open and airy clod on a perimeter of 0.90 to 1 m maximum with the advantage of letting light through ensuring the contrast of colors with its dark green foliage.

Black Dragon Black Bamboo is to be placed in a shady, half-shade position in open ground or in a tray, preferably sheltered from winter winds.
