The Trachycarpus Fortunei, commonly known as Chinese windmill palm, is a robust and elegant species that embellishes gardens or terraces with its majestic presence. Native to the mountainous regions of East Asia, this palm is notable for its ability to withstand temperatures well below freezing (down to -18°C), making it ideal in varied climates. With its unique trunk covered in brown fibers and fan-shaped leaves that sway gracefully in the wind, Trachycarpus Fortunei offers a touch of the exotic while being surprisingly easy to care for, it is highly disease resistant.

This palmtree prefers well-drained soils and can reach an impressive height of up to 15 meters and 2.50 m spread, although it maintains a moderate growth which makes it perfect for both small and large gardens. In summer, when mature, it produces clusters of yellow flowers followed by blue-black fruits, adding additional visual interest.
