Its dark purple, almost black foliage is very finely cut, reminiscent of the delicacy of Japanese Dissectum maples. The leaves keep this remarkable color even in the height of summer. From May to July, pink umbels, subsequently evolving towards white, form a perfect set and give the Purple Elder Black Lace all its beauty.
