The Lemon tree four seasons is the most cultivated lemon tree in Europe, it has the undeniable advantages of flowering and bearing fruit simultaneously all year round except in the heart of summer.
The flower buds in purple clusters are followed by very fragrant and melliferous purple-white flowers. Self-fertile, these flowers give way to large yellow lemons 5 cm in diameter with acid and juicy flesh which, ready to be picked, can remain on the tree and be harvested as needed, the Citrus Limon Lunario 4 saisons bears fruit as soon as it is younger age.
This lemon tree with a rounded, spreading habit has shiny green evergreen foliage which is rich in essential oil like the majority of citrus fruits, its young shoots are purple which gives it a very decorative appearance.
The hardiness of the Lemon tree four seasons will not exceed -7°C which obviously means that in the coldest regions, it will have to be kept in a pot where it will not exceed 2 m, and brought in to put it outside. Frost, but be careful, it will not tolerate heated rooms and must be kept from October to May in a bright room below 10°C.
In temperate regions, Citrus Limon Lunario 4 seasons can be planted in the ground, where it will flourish up to 5 m.
