With an adult height of 3 to 4 m for the same spread, the Ficus carica Brown Turkey is an ornamental shrub with large lobed leaves of a beautiful pure green. Flowering occurs in July-August. Then come the fruits; at the end of July-beginning of August and in September-October, it offers elongated figs of green color, becoming reddish brown when ripe, weighing 30 to 45 g each. These fruits with very sweet amber flesh are eaten both fresh and dried. They are also used in baking, as an accompaniment to dishes, or made into jams.

The Fig tree Brown Turkey appreciates a sunny position. It adapts to any type of soil as long as it is light, enriched in humus, and well drained. It can be slightly pruned for better production.

Plant a Ficus carica Brown Turkey in your garden or even in a container large enough for your patio, and you will have the pleasure of harvesting tasty fruits twice a year.
