Selected in Austria, Sambucus nigra 'Haschberg' belongs to the Adoxaceae family, which also includes viburnums.
This cultivar is known for its vigour, high yield, and excellent cold hardiness.

Black Elder Haschberg arrived safely in Ireland

I'm very happy with my new elder plants, they survived the posting very well. Just wondering whether the polystyrene packaging could be changed in the future and replaced with something compostable such as shredded paper. At this day and age, the zero waste message should become a higher priority.
The response and communication with Jardins du Monde was swift and efficient.
