The Nerium Virginie is a vigorous evergreen shrub, it produces large pastel pink flowers 5 to 6 cm grooved striped bright pink from June to October.
It is easy to grow it can also be grown in pots, for better flowering simply trim the end of March to 2/3.
Description
Native to the Mediterranean basin and Asia, Nerium oleander belongs to the Apocynaceae family. The ‘Virginie’ cultivar is prized for its large delicate flowers and abundant summer bloom.

Habit : Bushy, dense and slightly flared
Foliage : Evergreen; elongated, leathery, glossy dark green leaves
Flowering period : June to October
Flowers : Large 5–6 cm blooms, pastel pink with a vivid pink striped throat
Fruits : Elongated capsules containing feathery seeds
Hardiness : Moderate, down to –8 °C; protection required in cold climates

Soil : Light, well‑drained, even poor
Tolerance : Excellent resistance to drought and saline soils
Season : Spring or autumn (outside frost periods)
Preparation : Well‑drained soil; add sand to heavy soils

When mature : Low water needs; water in summer to support flowering

Advice : Cut stems back by two‑thirds to encourage abundant flowering and maintain a compact habit
