Return Policy of Sale – Jardins du Monde

The Jardins du Monde nursery attaches great importance to the quality of its plants and the satisfaction of its customers. Our return policy is established in accordance with Belgian law and takes into account the specific nature of our living products.

1. Right of Withdrawal (Private Customers – EU)

In accordance with Belgian law and the European directive on distance selling, you have a right of withdrawal of 14 calendar days from the date of receipt of your order.

This right applies only to consumers (non-professional customers) residing within the European Union.

2. Products Excluded from the Right of Withdrawal

The right of withdrawal does not apply to:

  • Living and perishable products such as trees, shrubs, plants, and other vegetation,

  • Personalized or custom-made products,

  • Plants that have been planted, removed from their pot, damaged, or mishandled after receipt.

Therefore, most of our plants cannot be returned, except in the event of obvious damage or non-conformity upon delivery.

3. Complaints for Damaged or Non-Conforming Products

Upon receipt of a damaged or non-conforming product:

  • Contact us within 48 hours of receipt,

  • Send an email to info@jardins-du-monde.be with your order number and clear photos of the package and the affected plants,

  • We will offer an appropriate solution: replacement, credit note, or refund depending on the case.

4. Return Procedure (If Applicable)

If your return request is accepted (e.g., incorrect order or a product eligible for the right of withdrawal):

a. Notification

You must notify us of your intention to return a product by email to info@jardins-du-monde.be within the legal deadline.

b. Shipping

The product must be returned within 14 days of this notification, in its original condition, carefully packaged, to:

Return shipping costs are borne by the customer, unless it is a recognized error on our part.

5. International Sales – Customers Outside Belgium

The Jardins du Monde nursery ships its products worldwide. For returns from abroad:

  • Similar conditions apply, but shipping, return, and customs fees are entirely the customer's responsibility,

  • We recommend contacting us in advance to assess the feasibility of a return (especially for living products),

  • Refunds will only be issued upon actual receipt of the returned product at our nursery in Belgium.

6. Refunds

If all conditions are met:

  • Refunds will be made within 14 days after receipt and inspection of the returned products,

  • The refund is made using the same payment method as the original order,

  • In case of incomplete or damaged products, a depreciation may be applied.

7. In-Store Pickup and Returns

If you picked up your products on-site (in Tinlot), the right of withdrawal also applies if the sale was made remotely. All returns must be brought back in person to the nursery:
