This shrub is highly resistant to disease and is not affected by powdery mildew or leaf spot: a real joy for gardeners.

Ribes uva-crispa Invicta can withstand cold temperatures down to -20°C. At maturity, this bushy fruit shrub is 1.50 metres high and 1.50 metres wide. Its green foliage is accompanied in May by a greenish bloom, followed by excellent, very light-coloured fruit. Juicy, sweet and particularly aromatic, these berries are harvested at the end of July. They are wonderful in marmalades and in cooked dishes, but can also be eaten fresh.

The Invicta Gooseberry thrives best in the sun. It thrives in ordinary soil with a neutral pH, not too dry or even cool. In order to encourage the next fruiting season, Ribes uva-crispa Invicta should be cut back by one third of its height each year in November or March. Dead wood and inward-growing branches are also removed.
