Prunus domestica Mirabelle de Nancy, fruit native to Asia, is adorned in April with beautiful white umbels that will give way later to exquisite fruits. The harvest is done in late August or early September, the tree is then covered with beautiful golden yellow fruit tinged with red. These mirabelle plums are among the largest that are grown. Their very sweet taste, close to honey, allows many uses: chew, pie, jam, liquor ...

Mirabelle de Nancy Plum tree is grafted in low stem on a Saint Julien A rootstock, it reaches a maximum height of 2 to 3 meters and withstands temperatures of -25°C. The yield will be better if you plant two individuals of the same variety next to each other, although Prunus Domestica Mirabelle de Nancy is self-fertile. Note that the varieties Reine Claude Dorée, Reine Claude d'Oullins and Reine Claude d'Althan are good pollinators of this fruit.

Having a Mirabelle de Nancy Plum tree is a very good choice if you want to combine aesthetics with the taste side. These plums are excellent and the uses are many. The tree is beautiful when it is covered with its spring flowers, but also when it is full of sweet fruits. Its small size and its great resistance make it possible to implant it in most gardens.
