Anise is a fragrant aromatic plant whose finely cut leaves resemble bird feathers. It is grown for its seeds and leaves whose particularly sweet taste is reminiscent of fennel. Anise will find its place in your garden with other aromatics or just in pots.

Sow your seeds of anise in April-May in a warm, healthy and well worked soil, exposed to the sun. Place the seeds in holes spaced 35 cm, cover with potting soil, and water in fine rain. Thin after 2 weeks, leaving a spacing of 35 cm between seedlings. The leaves are harvested 2 months after sowing.

Anise seeds are used as a condiment. Appreciated in the kitchen, the fresh leaves pleasantly flavor salads, raw vegetables, fish soups and certain seeds breads, pastries and drinks, it is also the basic ingredient for the manufacture of anisette.
